Cotyledon Design’s founder, Brian, has a background in landscape and industrial design, where he is learning the importance of the design thinking process and the need for extensive prototyping to create a viable product. Throughout his career, Brian has always preferred natural materials and employed product lifecycle analysis when constructing his designs. While he learns the techniques to be able to prototype and model using 3D printed ceramics, Cotyledon Design is choosing to offer PLA 3D printing as a stepping stone. All printing will be done using recycled PLA (rPLA) filament and PLA used will be further recycled through a specialty filament recycling organization.
